Lukewarm feelings

I currently live in this apartment complex and have for a little over a month. I do not regret my decision (so far), but I do have my share of complaints. First of all, the staff seems to be useless. It's been a battle to get maintenance out to my apartment or to have them do anything in less than a week. The place is really nice and I really do like my apartment. Of course, I am very picky about where I live and would never sign a lease on an apartment I hadn't seen or one that had obvious maintenance flaws already. The community seems to be kept up nicely and their pet policy is great. The staff is friendly enough, but many of them seem to be completely untrained. And you have to be really persistent to get anything done.
Specific examples: It took me over a week to get maintenance to come out and I had to call 4 times and make an appearance at the office before it happened. I'm currently trying to get a pass to the fitness room, but this is also a trial. The staff doesn't know how to program the key cards and when I finally got one, it doesn't work. Now I have to try to get another. And I've paid for the thing already. They won't work around my schedule (since of course their office hours are when normal people work) and I am not waiting for the second week to get this key. I don't know about anyone else, but when it's their mistake, I expect them to go a little out of their way to fix it. Apparently, they don't feel this way.
Overall, these are small complaints, but they make me nervous about when/if the time comes that I have a serious problem.
