This is in response to the person who wrote "don't live here." I am not from Indy nor am I familiar with Indy. I am seriously considering moving into this apartment. Could you please be a little more specific about the location of this incident' Was this inside the complex or perhaps along Township Line Road' How often have you heard gun shots (i.e., is this an isolated incident or is this weekly or daily)' Are you still having problems with the "drug dealer" neighbor or have things settled down' You mentioned living somewhere safer, where would you reccommend'

I've lived in Carlton for 3 years and have NEVER heard gunshots. I can't say that drug dealers DON'T live here, but Carlton runs background checks on ALL of its residents and refuses anyone with a rough criminal history. As with all neighborhoods, Carlton has a variety of different residents. But compared with others in the area and price range, I would say that this one is exceptionally safe. Remember that most people write responses when they are bitter and not when they feel satisfied with something--and some residents will never be happy, even when the red carpet is rolled out for them. Don't let them sway you from checking out Carlton.

Well nearly one year after your post, it's still bad. I hear gun shots weekly which sounds like it's from the back, cops are here all the time. Yeah drug dealers live here but if they are selling weed okay idc, but something else I would worry about and no way to tell unless you personaly know them all.
