I've had to deal with apartments and landlords from S. Illinois to Chicago to Indianapolis. Ive been taken advantage of on leases and threatened when I tried to hold back rent to get things fixed in Chicago, but I have to say my two plus years experience living at Carlton Apartments was by far the best. Our place was twice the size and half the price of anything I lived in in Chicago. We had good neighbors, parking, and a quiet section. Maintenance was on top of everything within 1 to 24 hours of us calling. There are all kinds of peoples living here and I enjoyed diverse cultures eventhough I never got the opportunity to interact or really meet anyone, it seems to be a very small community oriented complex. You can choose to be by yourself or be apart of the community, just follow the basic rules. The staff is very straightforward and will address your needs immediately. They will work with you the best they can. We were sad to leave, but bought a house. My days of renting are hopefully over.

Really?! I've lived here the same time as you and I totaly disagree. I have stuff that is still not fixed that was broke when I moved in. The maintance staff can take a week on things that aren't emergences. When they come and fix things they are only have fixed. Hell they even broke the door to my utility closet when they replaced my water heater. The staff is also pretty rude.
