The Carlton Apartments is the WORST apartment complex on the near north side of Indianapolis. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!! I have lived here since March of 08 and since I have lived here I have seen the Marion County police here at least 5 times and I am not talking about the two or three cop cars that are stationed around the club house, I am talking about 8 police cars are surrounding a building with people handcuffed. I have also seen the paddy wagon come and haul people away on two occasions. Remember that robbery and rape that happened over the summer' Yeah that happened two buildings away from mine. I have also had an ant problem since I have lived here. Gold Seal has been here at least 5 times spraying for the damn ants and they still have not gone away. It's so bad that my boyfriend and I can't keep dry food in out house. There are literally ants everywhere. I have them on my fish tank, in my clothes, in my bathroom coming out of the faucets. Its disgusting. Also, just like everyone else has said, the trash is always piled up in the mornings. I have to be up at 8 am for school two days out of the week and I always see the maintenance staff standing around the dumpster looking at the piles of trash bags from the coked up felons who live in this apartment complex. The washer and dryers are also ----. The dryer in our building is so old that is does not dry anymore. You would think with all the money that this complex is making they would be able to fix things adequately and make sure that the place is relatively safe. I mean, it is the north side of Indianapolis and this side of town really isn't bad but The Carlton just sucks!!

I know, its really bad. I lived there for two years and gold seal was in and out of my house all of the time, and the problem never got fixed. I had to put my cereal, and my other dry food in the fridge. The crime is really bad too. I mean, do they even hand out applications to any one anymore? I think they will give an apartment to anyone now. I didnt feel safe even walking my dog around. To the staff, ( because they snoop on this website all of the time.) Get your ---- together and start having some actual requirments when renting out to someone. Carlton is a dump and it needs a consulting firm to come in there and clean up so the innocent people who have sighned a lease wont have to live like this anymore.
