Im completely disgusted with Chapel Hill apartments. I quickly put my 299. down on an apartment that I looked at- which must have been the nicest one on the entire premises, so that I could secure that rate. Well, they switch the apartments on me just as I do so. When I go and finally get a chance to look at it, it was worse than a pig stye- and they said they were done with it! There was mold in the basement, holes in the walls, carpet was a MESS, 1 in of dust covering everything, trash scattered througout the apartment, poorly painted cabinets that look like they were striped white and grey from the "touch ups". And touched up so much that they didnt even close anymore. Toilet upsatirs smelled like sewage- looked like sewage, the shower had no door to it anymore and had a crack going up the side.. and some funky brownish green "stuff" on the bottom. I feel tricked into giving my security deposit on an apartment that was nothing like the one I was supposedly going to get, and their unwillingness to cooperate on getting the apartment up to my standards has pushed me to fight back. Im going to file a small claims case this week, and take the pictures I took of that nasty apartment, and everyones comments here to court with me. There has to be something done about pushing residents around and taking advantage, misleading future residents. Dont be fooled by this community. Its the poster child of deciet and trash.
