I just moved to the city and have learned the hard way that you need to do some SERIOUS research before moving. When I came to look at the apartment, of course they had it looking brand spanking new. Well, when move in day arrived and we went to pick up the keys, they informed me that the hot water heater in the apartment above mines had burst a few days before and they had the carpet company in that morning. So I moved into an apartment where the carpet was DRENCHED. I had to put as much of my furniture as possible in the kitchen.
Maintenance is HORRIBLE! My A/C didn't work in the middle of the summer. They came to fix it and rigged it some ghetto way that once the cold weather set in the heat didn't work and required about 3 days of repairs. The sinks in the kitchen and master bathroom leaked like nobody's business. They only had the key to one of the locks on my front door so they had to kick the door in to get it open and it took a month and a half before they came to fix it. The doors of my closet are missing and they only replace one of them. The apartments stay cold so we are always sick. The majority of the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. I had to fix the fence in the back myself because they never came to do it. The pool is disgusting and doesnt even work. The neighborhood is ghetto and NOT SAFE!
Definately NOT renewing!! I wouldn't recommend Chapel Hill to anyone!

Couldn't agree more. This place was nice several years ago but that was then. It's gone downhill (while rent has gone up) and I don't even feel safe here anymore. Won't be renewing this time.
