The new staff is friendly, fair, and helpful. There was some confusion when the property changed hands again but now it seems to be running smoothly. Work orders are done in a timely manner. When you call the office you actually get a person most of the time (instead of the voice-mail). Early bird specials and news letters have been started. And according to the newsletter plans to update our porch lights are in the works! The staff even works with you on your rent and even will look up information for government aid! The apartments seem in much better hands, and hopefully it stays that way. I just hope the residents here take better care of the home they are living in, many seem to not care (trash in front of addresses). Staff good at addressing concerns about other resident s behavior. Overall, great staff, but need better residents.

How interesting, this comment is annonymous so I'm assuming this is a staff member.. Cosidering the staff will work with you on your rent is true, probably because the rent is too high for these ran down apts. I would personally reccommend looking at BraeBurn Apartments before coming here, they are about the same in price ( just pay gas )has a great pool, ( we don't ) has a great playground ( we don't even have one )and onsite Daycare ( again we don't ). I will be moving the first chance I get. And other people have moved due to not getting things fixed likes leaks, and mold issues.. The residents are chosen by staff, maybe they should screen them better. Personally I don't like the staff, they have some young girl in there who is like balding or something and she is young and probably don't have a clue about trying to make it in this economy...

This is a staff response to some complaints. In response to paying bills, I do help with the rent (since I'm a lease holder)similar to a having a room mate situation since the complex does not pay well enough for a single person to live on their own. I also pay $300 a month in student loans, and another $200 a month in credit card debit. Because of the economy one of my parents loss their job after 15 years and the other works retail and makes very little after taxes and insurance is taken out. I worry about us making rent, and have considered deferring loan payments if I can. So yes I do understand the economy from the single adult standard (I do not have kids to feed, etc), but this is first and for most a business, and if you were a business owner you would understand. To be honest this property has had concerns making payroll before, so the money is not there. We have 60 vacant units out of 188 units, and are losing at least $40,000 a month in rent. We also have our tax bill that is another $ 250,000 a year to pay and it's growing (commercial properties are not getting tax breaks). If you look at the books, we are in the red and not breaking even. So when you factor in those who are not paying rent on time or owe back rent, it makes this situation even worse. We could get things done if we had more units rented, and every one was current on rent. I too am a tenant here, was before I even worked for the office, and wish the play ground would get updated and wish that we had a club house with a gym and pool table. The two leasing agents have looked into how much it would cost to update the play ground. For just a slide and very small climbing gym (commercial standard, by law) it cost over $5,000 dollars. That is the cheapest. Commercial standard is the same as playgrounds in parks, it last a long time and it is safest to use. Commercial standard is not the cheap wood. I have talked to the owner and he seems interested in getting a small playground if we get 80% occupancy in this place. Right now we are at 68%. 80% would make this property breaking even. If we get 22 units rented and have no people evicted or move out, that would put us at 80%. I ask that tenants be patient and work with us. I ask that if tenants like to help they can refer people to live here, renew their lease, or make sure they are current on their rent. We desperately want to invest in the property if the revenue increases. I also wished that pervious management handled the ordering better on maintenance parts, and when the money was there in the past took advantage and invested even more in the property. Now it seems so difficult with the economy down, and people leaving to income based apartments, or one bedrooms, and tenants losing their jobs or getting hours cut and becoming way behind on rent. Sometimes it seems at a lost. I really wish we could all work together (staff and tenants) to make this home a better place to live. I guest one can just hope and pray in the end. I apologize, if this is too direct, but this is as honest and complete to the best of my knowledge. I hope it does not discourage someone from living here, and I hope it clears up some issues.
