I enjoyed my stay at Chateau DeVille- the apartments while; yes-are older. I felt it gave them more character. I found it very quaint and I never felt unsafe. I did run into some money issues in the middle of the winter and had to push my rent back. The office acted like they understood when I went to speak with them to work out some sort of payment plan to get back on track-but a few days later I found an eviction notice on my door! After begging and pleading with them not to kick me and my two young sons out into the snow they let me stay. I got back on track and paid my rent every month until the end of my lease. At then end of the term I got yet another nasty letter stating; due to my past delinquent account they would not be extending my lease. I was able to find another apartment easily and am scheduled to move out at the end of July. I'm very frustrated about how they've acted towards my little family. I'm doing my best to try and get on my feet after a messy divorce- as a newly single mother in a terrible economy- you would think an office staff full of women would be more understanding!

While I sympathize with you (single mother) I think they reached out to you and your young children by letting you stay in your apartment and giving you time to get your finances in order instead of kicking you out in the snow. I do commend you on getting back on track for you and your little family. (Anonymous) I sympathize with you as well but I don't see many trucks moving people out i do see people moving in. The two of you must understand just as you suffer in this recession that also includes everybody else apartment complexes as well. They have a business to run PERIOD they can not "wonder" if someone is going to pay there rent or not married or unmarried and again (single mother) they let you STAY that in it's self whether your married or not, begged or not is a blessing in it self they didn't have to do that. I don't beleive the office means any rudeness to either of you but like i said It's business. Stay encouraged stay lifted up keep forward and don't look back the past is the past enjoy your lives in your new places!!!!!!!!!

and senzuel, just how long have you worked here? your words definitely reflect that you are either staff or a staff friend. you and blooncrazy and ispring are considered one in the same. YOU KNOW DARN WELL THERE ARE PLENTY OF MOVING TRUCKS GOING OUT OF HERE, PEOPLE LEAVE AS SOON AS THEIR LEASE IS UP AND YOU ARE AWARE OF IT. YOU ARE NOW LOOSING TENANTS THAT HAVE LIVED HERE FOR 16 YEARS, DUE TO YOUR NEW CHOICE IN TENANTS. WILL YOU WAKE UP OR WILL THE COMPLEX DEMISE? there is very little to be said that is good about the chateau de ville. when a complex does not have tenants that will renew their leases, it speaks loud and clear. you can write reviews from now until the end of time stating how great it is here, but all the moving trucks say it is a lie. and there is no way you can dispute that.

Hey, I am a single mom living here too. Other than a few small rude staff incidents (only one person, the rest are great) I think they are trying to kick me out..NICELY. I got a letter showing how much my rent would increase if I chose to stay, and then I called acting as if I was someone who didnt already live here. They told the me on the phone when they didnt know I was already a tenant that I could have a WAY WAY LARGER apartment than mine for TWO...TWO freaking dollars less than what they are asking me to pay for BARELY 1000 square feet. For the same exact apartment I live in they quoted me 50 dollars less on the phone than I was quoted in the letter. I think this is a true shame. Other than a few things I was a model tenant, paid on time everytime, never complained and called to have things fixed obsessivly. But my question to you in where are you moving? I cant find anything thats not a crackhead haven for what I can afford...they have really put me in a horrible situation here.

I posted this forum- and I would like to clear up that I still would highly recommend Chateau DeVille- I never had any rudeness directed towards me & I was allowed to stay-even though my payments were almost always late (i paid them mind you) but after I caught up it was a matter of playing "catch up". I was hurt that they asked me to leave- even though I had already made them aware of my plans to leave (to get into a better school district for my oldest son). I think I would have appreciated a call to discuss their intentions of not letting me stay. A letter found in your mailbox seems cold and I was taken off guard.
