I am happy with the decision to move to Cheswick Village Apartments. The apartments are very large and for the price it is a great value. The apartments are older so I was a little disappointed with the cabinetry but have since gotten used to them.I've lived in a few apartments and this by far is the biggest apartment for the price that I have ever had. There are no shortage of closet space and I have extra storage. The community is very, very quiet, the maintenance staff is friendly and come out right away whenever I have something needing fixed. The leasing staff is friendly and professional and always make me feel welcome when I stop by the office. When I first came to the community to apply I noticed how clean and well kept the grounds were. I also noticed how quiet it was. Since then it has not changed. It is a great place to live. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

Yeah it's always quiet when it's cold but hell I bet you don't live on the side where the kids are 8 o'clock in the morning; screaming like someone is attacking them (literally). And everything is good in the beginning...I wonder if they got the insects/pest under control since it comes out of your water and sewage bill anyway. Oh and how is the electric bill? did it sky rocket past $200 bucks yet? Yeah the damn units aren't insulated so good luck with your heat if it has even been serviced yet. Maybe you got lucky and they moved you in a unit that has been upgrated. Don't look for a rent statements either because they don't issue any. So you better make sure you know how much you're suppose to pay including the water bill!!! Oh and look forward for the water bill to go up to 60 bucks that's because you paying for everyone in the community to use water! Enjoy that big space you got for your dollar because you could have been in a house for what you're about to dish out for a year!!!

Thanks for you input. I am still happy with the apartment, it is still quiet. I got the insect and pest under control on my own and with the help of the exterminator. I wasn't suprised to see them coming in trying to get warm. Standard for older structures. My electric bill has remained steady as I had the foresight to pay ahead, tape any drafts, get insulated backed curtains and regulate the thermastat. It did get up there but as I understand from others in other communities IPL's rates have gone up. As for the water bill I've always know what it is because so far, every month the company has sent me a card and I go ahead and pay online for convenience. I don't need a rent statement as I am pretty sure the lease agreement I signed has the monthly rate and it won't change until the end of the lease. I've not seen a sixty buck water bill yet, but from where I came from, sixty buck's is not unreasonable. As for the space I understood that it is a multi-unit apartment community and when I am ready to become a home owner and take on all the responsibilities associated with home ownership I'll be sure to prepare financially for it. As for now,the space is still great and I am still way ahead financially because of the decision to move to Cheswick. Thanks again and I hope you find a home somewhere that makes you happy. Good Luck

Yes, it does sound like someone on the "inside". LOL. I noticed that when I read their review and thought that myself. But, Briergate is worse. I just updated my review on them.

I have been living in Cheswick for almost 2 years and why has maintenance been to my home at least 10-15 times just for the heat. They have been here once already this fall for the heat and are going to be back again, and it is just 2 days later, because it is blowing out cold air already. Damn!! what does I have to do to get some heat? If they would quit half ass doing ---- maybe I won't have these problems. What am I supposed to buy electric heaters as a back up plan. I have 3 kids and its about to get really cold. My heat is just one of the problems. I had 2 floods the day after I moved in, 3 or 4 power outages, the power on my stove went out twice, ceiling in kitchen fell, ants, ants, and more ants every summer, air conditioner stops working at least once every summer, shall I go on? I am sick of this ----! I can't wait till february when my lease is up!
