I am sure for anyone that visits this website will see that it early on the 12th, like 1:30am early. I normally wouldn't waste my time at this hour posting something, I would be asleep. Not tonight, at 1:10am I was woken up to the sound of shots fired. Obviously not one shot, but 11 rounds fired off! Seems the office rented out the clubhouse again and again there is a party of young adults, aka, your future inmates, that decided to move the party to the parking lot in front of apartments across from the clubhouse. I feel even worse for the people in those two buildings! However, once I heard shots fired, I decided to look out my back window and was able to see about 30 cars with about 50 people in the parking lot. They were jumping on the hoods of cars, riding around on the tops of cars/trucks, absolutely uncontrollable thug wannabees! Explain to me, how an apartment office would continue renting the clubhouse to these kinds of people' I am sure they have a great excuse (ie - someone rented it for them, they will be in trouble now). However, do they not ask what the clubhouse will be used for because I can guarantee this isn't the first time. I called 911, thank God, 5 other calls had already come in on the shots fired...I watched out my bedroom window and saw Marion Co. pull up as well as one of the courtesy officers and even with kids in the parking lots still and others walking and running around, they did nothing more than got them to move to somewhere else. I am sure you sit here and ask yourself, why don't you move then. Believe me, I am!!!! Patiently waiting to move in four months, far away from here and some of the residents that make it unsafe and unwelcoming.
Last Tuesday (2/7/06) after the middle and high school let out, same intersection as the gunshots tonight, a fight with about 20-30 kids. The unfortunate part of this was that they were carrying weapons (ie - guns and knives, one of which carried between a 14 and 18 year old girl) but that's not the worst of it, it was at 4pm, when the elementary school buses were pulling up!!!!
I have lived here a couple of years...before I had reason to, and I am sure it is not what you think...but now, I have enough reason to go.
I obviously am not one of those neighbors that sits and waits for someone else to take care of the problems, I called 911, I have called the office on many of the incidents that I have seen. And believe me, there are posts in here that state the truth no matter what the employees fire back with, they have truth to them...call Marion County Sheriff's Dept, ask to get a report of the calls made. But ask yourself first, if you have to do that...is it really worth it''''
I am not allowed to rent the clubhouse, but yet, the thug wannabees are''' Once I move out, I will post what I know...until then, here's the kicker to it all...my son, under the age of 10, is still awake from hearing the gunshots...and believe me, he told me how many there were...but just told me that he doesn't think we should live here anymore! WOW! That's what really says something!!!!!!
