We moved in March of '06. At that time, the grounds were nicely kept, the community was quite, and the staff seemed friendly. Over the next several months, that seemed to change.

A couple of examples that occurred during this time:
*On one occasion, we had water pouring down from the ceiling. When maitainance was called, they seemed very irrated to be having to deal with it. We were told that the apartment above ours left spilled water on the floor and that is what was causing the leak and left it at that.

*A couple months after we moved in, our washing stopped spinning. We called the office and was told to put less items in it. We explained that we only had 2 towels in it. We were then told there was nothing that could be done.

*Last Fall, the buildings fire alarm went off. However, there wasn't any fire. In fact, it went off for about 5 minutes, stopped, then started back up again 10 minutes later. This continued for 2 1/2 hours. During this time, all of us were trying to contact maintanence to have them shut it off, but they couldn't be reached. The apartment manager at this timed lived in the building next to us. Seeing that her light was on, we walked over and knocked on her door. As soon, as we knocked we heard her quickly turn of her tv and flip off all of the lights. Since we could hear her moving around, we decided to continue to knock until she answered. Realizing that we were not going to go away, no matter how well she tried to hide the fact that she was there, she finally answered the door. Maintainence then came about 1/2 hour later and removed the fire alarm. It has never been replaced.

Those are just a couple of items that have happened previously. Recently, the apartment has gotten a different manager and new maitanence personel and I can not say nicer things about them!!!!

*Our ceiling started leaking again. Maintanence came out and found that the washer ab ove us hand been leaking for some time. They replaced the folks upstairs washer and inspected the area where the water was dripping to make sure it didn't cause an electrical hazard.

*We brought up our washer issue again. The next day they came out, took one look at it and replaced it with a brand new unit.

*The grounds have been kept cleaner than they have been in a long time. (For awhile there was trash and goose poo everywhere)

*I've been told by the new apt manager that they will be painting and doing many improvements here shortly.


Ask me a couple months ago if I would rec a friend to move here, I would say no. (In fact, we were thinking of paying the penalty to move about before our lease was over.) Now, however, if things continue to improve we may stay for several years to come. Congrats and thanks to the new management on a job well done.
