I must admit that Cross Creek is a beautiful community, but it seems to be going down ever since Anna and Amber are no longer the managers. Now there is Will who has no clue how to run a complex. Matter of fact, he was a former leasing consultant and when Amber and Anna left, he was promoted to manager. Anyway, second in charge is now Liz whom is Latino/Hispanic. Since her arrival, I am noticing many more Hispanic/Latino families residing in Cross Creek. Not to say that it's a bad thing to live by different ethnic groups of people, because I am ------- American, but many times they live in swarms and sometimes can depreciate a community. Yes, so can other ethnic groups too. But it's more than I've ever seen after 4yrs!! I think Liz and Will need to be more selective of who they are approving for leases. The receptionist is rude as hell. She can make someone turn around immediately. She has the personality of a door knob. It's not the publics fault that she's past retirement age and still working. Get over it!! And the maintenance staff, is becoming more ghetto as time passes. Horhae (however it's spelled) is still there, and Marvin is ghetto as they come. There is a new one who looks like he was just released from a rehab clinic. I make sure that with any maintenance calls I make, I'm sure to be at home. They just look very suspect to me. I wish we could bring Amber and Anna back to Cross Creek or at least train Liz and Will to know what they're doing.

Wow, your review really concerns me. I just recently moved into the complex and am now worried about how my stay at Cross Creek is going to be. The way you talk about the staff, it really seems horrible to live there. What kind of experiences have you had? I would like to be aware of what is yet to come while living there.

I moved there a few months ago too and really i have no complaints. i had read these reviews a few days before moving, but i'll have to say so far its been nice living there, the convenience of the area and the staff has been cooperative in several ways, though i am a bit iffy about Will. he seems generally unconcerned with his residents. i mean i first saw him 3 months after moving in. the maintenance guys have been on point for me so far so i must say i was pleasantly surprised cos truth be tols that area is generally not the most attractive anymore and i'd moved from an area in the west side that was generally quieter. i do wonder about the ambulances at inverness every other night- noticed them??
cross creek is beutiful and so far i will say i am impressed and definitely happier than where i was before. I was impressed to see how ready the apartment was the day i moved in. really as long as they keep their end of the bargain ie maintenance, and keeping the place looking nice and nobody break into my place its an apartment, i'm happy. every complex has its issues. who cares about the staff, as long as they're not bugging me for no reason, i'll drop my rent check and avoid speaking with them. when i want perfection, i'll by my own house.

Regardless if you are buying a house or renting an apartment, you should have a standard that you expect your apartment to uphold. So are you implying that since you're just paying "rent" you'll accept substandard service? That's sad on your part if that's the way you're thinking. Because you're still paying what some people's mortgage is in these apartments. If you had lived in Cross Creek when there were well trained and concerned managers as Amber, Anna and John, you would know that you are getting substandard and poor service. Two out of the three fountains in this complex are inoperable, which is ridiculous. Did you know that these fountains were once lit and remarkable at night???! Now they don't even run. Maybe Cross Creek is a "come-up" for you from wherever you lived before, but don't accept anything just because you're paying "rent". Westdale Asset Management needs to come and visit their apartment complexes to ensure that they are maintaining the Cross Creek standard, which they are not. Please do not believe the above comment because in no area of Cross Creek is the office on point.

I have lived there for almost a year and i HATE it! What is the point of EMERGENCY maintenace if they dont respond for two days? It took me three months to get a mold problem taken care of and my roommate and I are currently living with no air conditioning in 85 degree weather, we cant sleep! We have call emergency maintenace for the past two days and the front office! On top of all that, our apartment smelled like dog food and koochie when we first moved in and we discovered it was coming from a giant whole behind our fridge that took forever to get fixed, and dont plan on getting assistance from the neighbor hood officer because he ( like anyone else in the complex) does not return phone calls. It is too much money to spend on maintenace not to have it.

Will, Liz and the old lady receptionist are all jokes. They don't care because none of them live on the grounds. Maybe if we all started calling the corporate office and started complaining about them, WestDale Asset Mgmt would replace them with some professional staff. Get them outta' here. Yeah, the fountains aren't running and at one point they were. So sad. They don't even have any community activities are show ANY gratitude towards their tenants as many other apartments do. Give us some pizza nights where the residents get discounts or give awards like they once did for the first person to pay their rent. WILL SUCKS SOOOOO BAD.

INSTEAD OF BEING SO REACTIVE, TRY BEING PROACTIVE. YOU CHOSE TO LIVE AT CROSS CREEK NOW DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR OWN LIVING SITUATION. SOME IDEAS, FORM A NEIGHBORHOOD COMMITTEE, SOMEWHAT LIKE A HOME OWNERS ASSOC. PLAN ACTIVITIES, ASK FOR 1 OR MORE REPRESENTATIVES FROM EACH BUILDING TO KEEP AN EYE ON THINGS WATCH OUT FOR EACH OTHER, THAT'S WHAT REAL NEIGHBORS DO. COME TOGETHER AND MAKE THE OFFICE STAFF AND MAINTENANCE ACCOUNTABLE, AFTERALL WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, WE DO PAY OUR RENT AND WE WANT AND DESERVE EVERYTHING THAT CROSS CREEK/WESTDALE HAS PROMISED US AS TENANTS. WE COULD HAVE A COMMUNITY YARD SALE, GET TO KNOW OUR NEIGHBORS SO THAT WHEN SOMEONE IS ON THE PROPERTY THAT SHOULDN'T BE WE WILL BE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE THAT FACT. DID YOU KNOW THAT THE LAKE IS WELL STOCKED WITH FISH? WE COULD HAVE ACTIVITIES FOR OUR CHILDREN AND REGULARLY SCHEDULED COMMUNITY MEETINGS TO VOICE OUR CONCERNS. SO INSTEAD OF BLAMING AND COMPLAINING, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! IT'S NOT WHERE YOU LIVE, IT'S HOW YOU LIVE THAT MATTERS THE MOST!

And what you are doing to be "proactive" in reaching the above goals? People are so timid when it comes to making the managers accountable that it would be difficult to have a representative from each building held responsible. People have busy scheduled juggling work and family, that they shouldn't have to do the apartment office job as well. Okay, the lake is stocked, but are you seriously going to fish out of a lake that the office has not had cleaned in months if not years? I seriously doubt it. Getting to know your neighbors still would not be the resolution to spot "someone that shouldn't be there." They could be visitors!! Sounds good to have community meetings, but the office won't stay open any later to accomodate that request. Sounds like you're in denial about the community where you live.

I have been living 2 cross creek for a year now and will be transfering to a diff apt. I have had no issues so far, but I will say tht Desa @ thr front desk is rude as hell. You basically have to put her ass in her place. She is horrible, I have complained on her before, but luckily I do not have to deal with her. I always deal with Elizabeth. She is great if you ask me. I also like Will, he is a nice guy and to me just does his job. Desa showed be FIRED! Shoot, I could be working there lol. But so far I have not had any problems with staff. My downstairs neighbor gets on my last nerve. Tht is one of the main reasons i want to transfer. I do hate the parking as well. But thts it.
