Apartment complex was decent the first year but has seriously gone downhill the last six months. So much so that I am willing to pay the crazy insane amount of money they are asking in order to break my lease and get the hell out. I think it mainly has to do with the quality of people. A lot of people spend a lot of time hanging out in the garages drinking and messing with old cars and junk. My brand new car has been hit by an egg in, I guess, an egg fight crossfire (sucked cleaning that up). I??ve heard talk that cars have been getting broken into and I??m afraid for my car now. People driving really fast around the complex late at night; I heard a car speeding through the complex at abut 2am last month and the driver??s car clipped a park car. I ran out to make sure it wasn??t mine and luckily, for me anyway, it was a car parked a few spots up. About three times now in the last three months while laying in bed with my bedroom window open, I??ve now heard people hanging in the parking lot outside my window smoking pot.
Dakota Ridge is currently undergoing expansion and nearly everyday since construction started I??ve heard the construction people talking about how the new buildings weren??t being built correctly. I don??t know what they mean by that.
Renter??s insurance is always a good idea and the complex is now requiring new tenants to have proof of renter??s insurance. Don??t know if that??s a law or something now or if it is because the crime rate here has gone up and the complex doesn??t want to take responsibility for their lack of enforcing rules ?? or maybe they went the cheap route as they paid for the electrical wiring in the new buildings. Ether way??pass this one by.

I totally agree with this. I think the people who live here now are mostly degenerates. We went to the pool the other night. Big mistake. The people who hang out in their garages during the week also apparently hang out at the pool during the weekend. There were people drinking and smoking while they were actually IN the pool. They were basically acting like drunken idiots. We called the "courtesy officer" to complain, but to no avail. We got that "pool rules" handout in the newsletter, but I noticed that it mentioned nothing about not smoking there (possibly because the office staff goes out there to smoke during the day.) Nonetheless, it's absolutely ridiculous here now. I think Paige is unqualified to be running a community. She was just a lowly leasing agent when we first moved here. She should have stayed that way. |
