lived here for 2 yrs and am very disappointed. They run on a boiler system here, which I was not told when I first moved in...I know, I know, silly me, spoiled on central air for 30 yrs,so like an idiot i turned the thermostat down to 70 degrees and it wasn't working....called maintenance and he made me feel like I was the stupid one, you gotta turn the thermostat all the way to 90 for it to kick on,because when there's air there's no heat... whawt!'...I no, i didn't know what that meant either because the concept doesn't exist anymore. basically there's no temp control. it's hot today but because they haven't flipped the switch on the boiler I don't have air....did i mention it's 85 degrees in here!!!! I will not renew next year. My rent has increased 40 dollars in 2 yrs and I'm not going to pay 600 dollars a month to not be able to control my own level of comfort. why is there no desire to improve this property. few examples would be mowing the grass, picking up trash,new washers & dryers(every building has 2 washers and 2 dryers to service 12 units per but they break so much they have to be fixed every other week on average which is a major inconvenience to the tenants. there's a section of my floor that is so weak it dips when I walk over...mentioned on several occasions to management, but I'm still walking over that rotten piece of wood every day, I wonder if the neighbor downstairs is expecting company, I hope theres nothing laying there when I fall through that can kill me....my first day moving in the plunger in the tank on my toilet popped off and water spewed all over the place....lol!!!
Also, I asked for the # to security and they wouldn't give it to me, telling me that if I need assistance to call 911 which is just outrageous...there are certain things that security is suppose to be for, I've seen an officer driving around a couple times but who knows what his resposibility to the tenents are....honestly I'm not sure if there is security or if they just say that....my carpet wasn't new when I moved in yet they say I have to be here 5 - 7 yrs before replacing and it's deplorible...shredding on the edges and I bet they try to charge me for the wear and tear....whatever, I'm outta here asap!
