I live there for 2 years and my girl for 4. We had an issue with a leak to the downstairs for 3 of those years, finally it was deduced to be the garbage disposal...it was 25 years old. Also we had an issue with the shower, the wall fell out, there was mold all over the inside of the wall, and thier solution, put up a plastic shower cover and tons of caulk. If you ask me the State Board of Health needs to go in there and check for mold, and all the unsavory living condidtions lurking where it can't be seen. Leaks were a common problem with everyone I talked to and the newest maintenance guy they had was the only one worth his wage, if not more. The old guy just kinda did his thing and said close enough. When my girl first moved in she was promised new carpet, did she get it, hell no. After 4 years of living there and probably a dozen apartment managers it was difficult to figure out who was what. The rent is quite high for these, giving the problems, heck our apartment still had aluminum wiring, out of code since the 70s. I'm really surpised none of these apartments have burnt down with the shoddy wiring, and horible upkeep. If you report a problem, it can look fixed, but it usually wasn't, or it was just marked done. I wouldn't recommend for anyone to come live there. There are a dozen nicer apartments in the area for about the same rent, that are newer, safer, and don't have mold infestations.
