We decided to move into Deercross because it had a lot of features we were looking for and at a great price. Everything was fine for about the first 8 months, then the tenant from hell moved in above us. Without going into great detail, I would like to say that the office staff was far from being helpful. The problem was the tenant above had a pit bull that didn't like to be left alone. The tenant worked at night and left the dog to bark and run around the apartment all night. When we spoke to the office staff, they told us that she hadn't paid the deposit to have a pet, that pit bulls weren't even allowed in the apartments and that the tenant was being evicted for non-payment of rent. The dog was taken away from apartment by the tenant a couple of weeks at a time, but always came back. The tenant was never evicted. We left our apartment shortly after complaining one Saturday evening right before the office closed. The dog was barking so loud and obnoxiously and the office manager refused to speak to us on the phone because it was "his day off". Nevermind that it was our day off also. He never called us back. Since they have shown no help in dealing with such a serious problem, I cannot say that I would recommend them.

If you consider that a serious problem you definatly should have never moved into an apartment. No offense but first of all an office would have never given you all that confidential information on another resident and second of all if the resident paid their rent and said they got the dog out of there how was the office staff supposed to know otherwise. You people amaze me with the complaints that are on this website.

To marya12, office personnel can and do give personal information out about residents. If the dog was not even supposed to be on the property and is a nusance, then it is every resident's right to complain. I suspect you probably work for the apartment complex. I'll look elsewhere for an apartment.

To working_girl. You are right, staff does give personal info out concerning residents. I used to work for the Marion County Health Dept. and in five years and going to just about very apt. complex in Indy I was only asked for ID twice before they gave me the information I was requesting on a particular resident.
