I've lived here for a little over a year now and maintenance is steadily decreasing. Either that or they're tired of my repeated requests for air conditioner service and have started ignoring me. Over the past year or so I have noticed repetitive problems with my centuries old air conditioner. It's bigger than most air conditioners for a full size home and it certainly creates twice as much noise. It's peformance is something else altogether because on truly hot days, it has been unable to cool my two bedroom apartment to anything below 75. I realized that the maintenance guarantee only states that Aimco will acknowledge your request for service within 24 hours (or the next business day on weekends) but that doesn't mean they will actually provide service or repair within 24 hours. I've spent one too many weekends in this $750/month apartment with the temperature at or above 80 degrees. I've had it, and they don't care. My poor dog (delicate teacup breed) lays on the floor all day panting from the heat and unable to do anything else from discomfort. Staff does not care and they only have two maintenance men on hand to handle all their requests at any give time. Extreme temperatures do not seem to merit emergency response to them and they are not interested in providing rent credit due to your discomfort.

I SO UNDERSTAND. I CAN TELL YOU THAT WHEN I LIVED THERE BETWEEN THE DRUGS AND THE INDIFFERENCE OF MISTY ( OR WHATEVER HER NAME IS) I WAS SO THRU. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR MOVE TO THE SOUTHSIDE AND HAVE A GREAT EXP.THAT IS WHAT I DID AFTER MORE THATN 10 YEARS ON THE WESTSIDE.....GOOD LUCK AND HAVE LOTS OF WATER FOR THE DOG.
