Nice place to live

I lived with a roommate in Eagle Chase for just under 2 years. I have to say, overall it was a good place to live. We had only a few issues with the apartment over those two years and all of them were fixed in a timely fashion. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, the mailman at the apartments across the street was robbed by a masked man with a gardening tool only a few months before we moved out. My car was never broken into and I felt pretty safe there, although I wouldn't have felt safe with my girlfriend being outside alone at night. The only consistent problem we had was that the main entrance door locking mechanism seemed to be broken constantly, which kind of negated the security feature of residents being able to "buzz in" visitors. The staff was generally pretty helpful, although sometimes I got attitude from the ladies in the office. The pool was nice, but the workout room was kind of a joke. The apartment itself was very nice at move-in with some stains on the carpet being my only complaint. Very spacious, great floorplan with 2 nice BR's and 2 full baths. It had a nice, big laundry rooom that easily fit our full size washer and dryer. The big balcony was also a bonus and proved to be plenty of room for our grill and a couple chairs. Rent was very reasonable at move-in @ $800/month. They jacked the price up when we re-signed but it was only a $50/month hike. When we moved out I was very worried because the carpet looked considerably worse than it did at move-in and the walls were pretty dinged up. However, we recieved our full deposit back after about 6 weeks. My girlfriend and I relocated to Lafayette when I moved out and we found ourselves really wishing we could pick up Eagle Chase and move it to Lafayette, as it is near impossible to find anything that nice in Lafayette for a reasonable price. Overall, if you can deal with the area (which isn't really that bad, and is very close to I-465) then Eagle Chase is a good place to live.

That was a commercial posted by the incompetent staff. Isn't it strange to all of you that these places that have the worst overall ratings, usually start out with a few or as many as they can get their staff to write, that state just how wonderful the places are, and that they just can't understand all of the negative posts....Give me a break!!! Not all of us out here are stupid..............You're nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing..................
