At first view, these apartments seem like a good deal for the price. I assure you though, you can find a much better place at a similar price! When I moved in, my carpet was disgusting. They even post-poned my move in, saying they wanted to have the carpets cleaned first. When they told me it was okay to move in, I couldn't believe they meant it! The "professional" company they claimed to have used didn't bother to vacuum the carpet first. All I had was wet, stained carpet with ground in dirt. The first time I vacuumed it myself, I filled up my bag twice. While doing my move-in checklist, I found multiple issues. It's reasonable that an apartment building of this age will need updating, but they are way off on how to fix things. My kitchen cabinets had huge hole in them, the easy fix for this was to come in and place a board over them. I won't bore you with more of the so called fixes. They aren't however, in any kind of hurry to respond. My neighbor says he has had a half finished project in his apartment for about 5 months now.
The walls/ceilings/floors here are the thinest I've ever came across. Day and night all I hear is the extremely load ghetto music of my neighbors. On occasion it has knocked things off my wall. I've call the office several times and each time they've assured me it will be taken care of. Everytime they have lied. You also get the smells of other apartments too. I often come home to the smell of pot completely filing my apartment. I'm one step away from calling the police.
I'll do anything to get out of here, and I've only been here a few months. It gets worse by the day. Do yourself a favor and unless you like living like ghetto trash, find a different place to live!
