Be careful

I stayed on this apartment complex for about two years and just moved out last month. It?s a nice place if you don?t have to deal with the management and maintenance. Quite and beautiful sourrounding. I really liked it. However you have to be careful about what the management tells you. In my case, I was told I would not get my my security deposite back, because I did not pay enough rent for the last six months when I was on a month-by-month lease. The rent was decided by the management at the begining of the month-by-month lease and the only explanation I got from the leasing office after I moved out was that this decision was made by the home office. When I asked about the phone number or the mailing address of their home office, the answer is "don?t know". During my stay, I also found it difficult to get the maintenance work done. Once it took me almost two weeks to fix the toilet (good that the apartment has two toilets) and about one week to fix the AC. As the apartment is pretty old, it's pretty likely that you will need to call the maintenance once in a while.
All in all, if you don?t want to deal with the hassel, think twice before signing on.
