NEVER AGAIN!

Years at this apartment: 1993 - 1995
I just stumbled upon this site. So I must qualify that I lived at Fallwood almost 6 years ago. I lived in apartments for the past 20 years and I never had an experience like I did at Fallwood.
Two weeks after moving in, a maintenance worker started a fire in an apartment below. At three in the morning, my husband, my two cats and I quickly vacated the place. After living in an hotel for two weeks, we regretfully moved to another apartment in the complex. During this fire ordeal, we should have called it quits. You wouldn't have believed the way they treated the tenants made homeless by the fire. I could go on about this mess, but our real problems started about 9 months later when my husband received a job offer in another state. When we moved in we clearly signed a job transfer clause (this was a major reason for picking and staying with this place). However, we never got a copy of the clause because it was waiting for final management signature and would be mailed to us. But, the fire ...
Needless to say they really gave us a hard time when we left. They claimed I owed them $3500 for a broken lease. To make a long story short, I hired an attorney. It tooks two years, but I finally got them off my back. I never paid Fallwood a dime, but I gladly paid the lawyer.
I could go on about this place. Even after seven years, I still get angry. This complex was once occupied by many senior citizens and the way a few in our building we treated after the fire was disgusting.
Stay away!
