I moved in forest hills in the winter months, it seem really nice and quite, but that is what a bit a snow will do. After moving in, it was loud, I lived in the middle, the upstairs tentants always had drama, boyfriends kicking in doors. One time I got blocked out of the apt's for almost a whole day they said it was a terriorist attack, really it was a hostage situtation with a lady and her guy. Then my neighbor got shot 7-9 times in front of my building.
In the middle of my lease, they decided they would no longer pay water and we would be responsible for it. They charged around $80 a month for water, we didn't even get $40 worth of water in that little tank. I had a few problems with bugs, they usually left when some of the other tenants left.
One month they told me my check had bounced and been returned so to bring them a money order and they would give me back my check, when corporate sent it back. So I did, and they took my money order and the next day cashed the check. Then stated they could not refund me for one of those payments I would just be paid a month ahead. Almost every night I came home, I had to fight my way through a police block. It was awful, my son could not even go out to play.
