Nice place, but you won't get your deposit back!

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I moved out a couple of months ago after living at the Gardens of Canal Courts for 2.5 years. Apparently the office staff does not know what general wear and tear is. My apartment was in great shape when I moved out, and I cleaned everything. To my suprise when I got the letter and 'deposit' back a month after I moved out I realized they had kept all of it to do repairs. The letter stated they had to purchase and install new carpet for new tenants, and a new blind for a bedroom window. No pets and no stains were on my carpet. The manager was very unhelpful when I called asking very nicely about the carpet and window blinds. She told me they like to have everything looking nice and new for incoming tenants. Why do i have to pay for new carpet and blinds'
Nice place to live, but beware of the greedy and unfriendly office staff! I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
