I moved in in June 2008. There were a lot of things wrong with the apartment but I was assured the issues would be resolved after I moved in and the office staff was at least nice at the time. Delapidated vinyl flooring in the entry and kitchen (promised replacement within 3 days of moving in & here I am 5 months later with the same flooringsee pics), a moldy, scummy bathroom tile surround that maintenance caulked over the dirt and mold for my arrival. I couldn't use my dryer for the first three weeks because of the outdated dryer outlet. I was told every other day that maintenance would install the outlet so I could plug my dryer in. After 3 weeks of hanging clothes to dry, the maintenance supervisor (who was not an electrician but a moron instead) took the pigtail off of my brand new LG dryer and switched it out with a piece of crap pigtail that matched the outdated outlet which has NO GROUND. Now my $1800 LG dryer is out of warranty and is not protected by a ground. I didn't get a mailbox key for the 1st three months of my residency well I got one but the WRONG ONE so I kept checking an empty box, leaving notes for the postman, traveling to three post offices, basically stressing over the loss of my mail; so imagine a 3 month lull in getting mail..late fees, etc. The whole time my mail was in another vacant box...more moron maintenance and a total nightmare.
The office has a revolving door concerning it's staff and maintenance alike. The "new and improved manager" arrived in September with a huge chip on her shoulder to tell me that my rental rate was incorrect and that I owe more per month than originally agreed. Her idea of getting the property back on track is to add insult to injury. Instead of addressing my 5 month old maintenance issues she proceeded to send me renewal letters with rent increase suggestions and offers such as "an upgraded faucet" (check out the pics of my current faucet and you will understand why this is so insulting since a new faucet should have been installed before I moved in t this dump). Since the previous manager made me too good of a deal on my run down unit the new manager worked the numbers and my paperwork backward and now miraculously the items on the paperwork i the file such as "rental rate" are scratched out with pen and replaced with new numbers that do not have my initials or consent next to. There is a move in inspection in the file with my intials that I NEVER SIGNED and the initials don't even match the rest of the paperwork...of course that inspection says there is absolutely not one imperfection in my apartment...It says "OK" with an arrow drawn thru every section...as if I would write that on a move in inspection. Funny thing is that last week I was told by the "new manager" --------- that there was no move in inspection in my file and that I would not be permitted to add one. Then today I spoke with the Regional "-------" who told me that there was a signed move in inspection by me (the new "OK" thru everything one), she went further to insult me by saying "You are an adult, don't you know what you signed'". Trust me, when it comes to this lady, the customer is not always right. Although she nor the manager have never taken the time to look at any of the defects depicted in the photos I have attached to this review; ------- (the regional) told me that she doubts there is anything wrong with my apartment. Her exact comments were that I am just a miserable and nasty person...gee thanks! She really got nasty with me after I called her and her staff lazy. Trust me, it was well deserved.
In closure Jillian the Regional proceeded to yell at me on the phone because of my "lazy" comments. It sure is nice to know that she is permitted to do that in front of the other staff. It's a great way to send the message that it is allowed to treat the residents like crap. When I mentioned to her that I pay close to 1K per month for my 2 bedroom/ 1 bath apartment with no garage she screamed at me some more.
Take a look at the photos of my Riedel wine glasses and Tervis Tumblers @ 20 BUCKS A POP. I have about 20 ruined from the 1998 Roper dishwasher I have in my unit. They have excuse after excuse. She blamed it on the water quality here...funny how my parents dwn the road's glasses are fine and dandy in the same water. Trust me, it is the ancient dishwasher's fault.

So don't be fooled by all the "Luxury Property" signage and ads. It's bogus. Also, the free breakfast for resident's every Saturday morning is bogus. It just looks really nice in the ads and makes people think the office goes the extra mile...it never happens.

The owner "--------" actually took my call today which was nice. He said he is concerned about my problems and feels like he's dealing with a kingdergarten class instead of employees. He told me that I hurt the Manager's feeling. He said thatI would need to pay termination fees to move out after I told him that the Regional told me to leave. He also explained to me that in this economy he doesn't want me to stop paying and move. He never said that TheRegional would be apologizing or that my residency was of value to him. Only that I would need to pay to leave. Confusing huh' She orders me to leave and he wants more of my hard earned money in this economy. What a smart lady the regional ------- is, telling residents who pay their rent on time and have NEVER had a maintenance request fulfilled to move out on New Years Eve with their small child. -------- does have his hands full! Full of morons!

Well, I guess I can keep getting screwed here for two more months or get a lawyer. Just what I need to add to everyday life! DON'T YOU WANT TO MOVE IN NOW''' WELCOME HOME TO LUXURY LIVING!!!

Once you have problems with grande reserve they just escalate into more problems. I don't know why its so hard to follow-through with what you promise at grande reserve. If you say your going to do it, do it. That is true customer service. Retain the ones you have. Grand Reserve is more interested in turning over apartments within days to rent to another unsatisfied customer. Well spoken. Good -luck with apartments in the future.
