I have been living in Harbour Pointe Apartments for 7 months. I did thorough research on many apartments before choosing this one last July and I have never been more happy with a housing decision. Harbour Pointes gives you the best housing for the money in the Indy area. It's location could not be more perfect- 10 minutes from downtown, right off of Binford/69, and 10 minutes from Castleton and Keystone.
I have always felt extremely safe in this apartment complex. It is a very quiet community. The apartments come with an alarm system and they close all gates at 11pm nightly. The grounds are always well-maintained, the pool is very nice and clean, and maintenance & the office girls are so incredibly nice, helpful, and friendly. The Greenway (connects to the Monon) is right across the street, not only making the views beautiful, but enjoyable when wanting to use the trails for exercise or biking.
The only cons of the complex is that the neighboring area isn't very nice at all- very crime ridden and run-down. However, the complex is removed far enough from these neighborhoods that it doesn't bother me at all. The only other con is that the apartments aren't close to an IndyGo bus line.
In the end, I would highly recommend these apartments to everyone. The apartments are wonderful. I have had very few problems, and maintenance was extremely prompt with coming to fix them. While the kitchen cabinets are ugly (flat and dark brown), the layout is absolutely fantastic. The open concept is very rare for apartments that are 30 years old. Oh and there are very few kids that live here- almost everyone is single that I have met. I have never had a problem with noise here. Best of luck!
