Just stay away

It's pretty simple. This place is awful. It's one of those situations where you really get what you pay for... maybe. We paid $700 a month for a three bedroom/2 bathroom basement apartment. Within the first month, our mailbox never locked even with handyman work 4 times, the A/C leaked 3 times and ruined the carpet and furniture, the oven handle snapped off, all sliding doors broke, the cable went out (due to the fact that the aparment's cable line are so old and worn down) and the whole hallway smelled like weed. There are holes in the walls by the windows the size of pennies, so if you leave an open glass of juice out for 10 minutes, it will be filled with ants faster than you can imagine. The shower heads are as high as your nipples, and every morning the water temperature jumps from insanely hot to freezing cold every 2 seconds making it impossible to have an enjoyable shower. The toilets don't flush anymore, the water pressure is softer than raindrops, the dishwaser smells like mold if it's not turned on once a week. Now lets move on to the neighborhood:

Kids run through the street with absolutely no supervision, using sidewalks chalk to write huge cuss words on all the sidewalks and "tennis court" (which is a green concrete floor with no net, fence, or paint). Cars will park in two handicapped spots at the same time for days straight. Every building smells like weed. At night, large groups of young men will creep around each building and look in windows and attempt to break in. There have been 3 fist fights right outside our building this year. No one cleans up after their pets and no one enforces it, so you can't step on the grass without getting a shoe full. Once I came home and found a gigantic pile of dirty panties in a mound in front of the mailboxes in our building. It stayed there for a week and made the entire building smell rancid. The grass outside is halfway up to my knees, and if I have someone come over, (including my mother and girlfriend) I have to walk them out to their cars every night because the guys that hang out outside have been known to carjack at gun point.

As for parking, it's not too bad. Someone ripped all the handicapped signs out of the ground so now there are more options. There have been absolutely HUGE potholes in the parking lot and in front of the entrance that have caused everyone I know to have at least one flat tire. They started getting bad about 8 months ago and have gotten worse every day and have never been touched. Every single person in their office staff looks and acts like they are no older than 21 and they are quick to forget about you or give you plenty of sarcasm.

Long story short, stay away. Stay far, far away.... Unless you deal drugs. Then you can probably make a killing here.
