I thought I'd chime in with a good Janus review just for another perspective.

* First of all, the management changed in December of '06 and pretty much everyone I have talked to agrees that its *much* better. They actually take care of the common areas and don't out right lie to residents.

* Underground parking is nice and convenient provided you get a good spot. Some of the spots are way in the back and a little difficult to get in and out of if you have a large vehicle.

* Package deliver has gotten better, but still isn't great. Sometimes UPS and FedEX can get in and leave it for you, other times they can't and you have to drive somewhere to pick it up.

* The apartments are very nice and reasonably priced considering the nice location. The kitchens are have very modern, nice, appliances but just make sure that your ice maker is hooked up (mine wasn't). Bathrooms are another story: very cheap toilet and bathtub. Also there's no fan so when people use the bathroom they usually have to turn the sink on to keep it from echoing throughout the apartment.

* I've only had two experiences with the maintenance and they have both been positive. Once my smoke alarm was beeping but the ceilings were too high to change it myself so I called and they took care of it the same day. The second time my garbage disposal broke and they replaced it with a new one and didn't try and charge me for it. This one took two days. However, there really is only one maintenance guy for the two building they own so your experience may vary.

* The walls are very good at blocking noise and I have almost never heard a sound though the walls. The doors, however, are another story. They are very thin and have a large gap on the bottom so you can hear anyone in the hallway loud and clear. This isn't usually a problem unless a group of drunken noisy people come back at 3 am.
