We are getting ready to move out and we are so happy. This has been the worst place that we have ever lived. Before we moved in we wanted to see the actual apartment that we would be living in they refused and the first time that we were able to see the apartment was when the moving truck was in the parking lot. We were shocked. The carpet was stained with obvious dog staines and although it had been cleaned twice it was still very visible. The bathroom cabinets had holes drilled in them and peeling paper. We filled out the move in inspection form and wrote all of these things on it. Once we had signed the lease no one cared to be nice or professional. Since we have lived here we have had our freezer stop working and it took maintenance 3 days to bring a new fridge in that time all of our food had to be thrown away. When the new fridge arrived it had a broken shelf we let the office know so that could be written in our file it is a 35 dollar charge for a broken shelf. We also were without heat for almost 2 months we called daily and it took around 10 visits to realize that it was just a dirty filter. In that time we were freezing and paying 100.00 electric bills. No one even called to say that they were sorry. The greatest incident was a leak that the water heater had. We were told that it was fixed. I decided to clean out the closet 2 months later and when I started to move things against the wall where the water heater is I found mold. The floor was soaked and the walls and carpet were covered with mold. I had a chest that my great grandmother left me when she died in the closet. The water had rotted out the bottom of the chest. I was so angry and when I called to let them know about the issue with the mold and the chest that was damaged. They told me to call my renters insurance. When they came to deal with the mold they painted over it and in no way seem concerned that the mold may have spread between the walls. They just handled the problems that were visible. When I voiced my concern about not dealing with the mold in a professional way they told me that painting over it would kill it. Maybe maintenance should take a basic maintenance class and the office staff should attend a customer service class. Do not move here.
