Honestly, at first, I believed the hype that this was the "ghetto" of Castleton, but after being here 4 years and planning another 3 at least, I have come to find that most of the trouble around here is created by the residents themselves. If everyone paid attention to the "good neighbor" addendum, then all would be well. The staff is friendly and eager to help. Yes, there are a lot of cops patrolling the area, and that does make one feel safe. They have installed security cameras due to the numerous break-ins, but since they have been installed, but reports have dropped dramatically. The maintenance people are great and very professional. And as far as those folks saying that the laundry rooms are the pits, they are wrong. I have become good friends with the lady that cleans the laundry rooms and let me tell you, she takes great pride in her work and does a damn good job. Besides the occassional neighbor who likes to party, it really is a great place to be.
