In my previous review I said that I was fighting them in court and I am happy to say that We won. If they sue you for breaking the lease they will not go through with it. We responded to their suit and 18 months went by and we never heard a peep from them again. They are just hoping you will ignore it and they will get a garnishment. They talk tough but they obviously are a paper tiger and do not have the balls to take it to trial. The case was dismissed on the grounds of a lack of prosecution. the office even said in the lawsuit that we left without paying rent which was a lie. they applied our final rent to the "lease termination fee" and tried to claim we skipped out without paying. The place is bad in almost every respect. Avoid at all costs!

If the person broke the lease then Lake Castleton had a right to take action. They are not the bad guy. It was the one who broke the lease.
For heaven sakes let's get real.

If you terminate your lease you pay 4months rent plus 2 months utilities after you leave the premises. I am getting ready to buy a house FAR from here thank goodness and I have to pay almost $2000 just to break the least when I was told it would be 2months rent when I first moved in. I also tried to get 6mon agreement and they wouldn't let me.
