I lived here in 1994 and it was like you had to tell your whole life story to get in here back then- I moved back in 2005 and OMG what a surprise it has been-
There is so much crime here and everyday i walk out i can point out several people walking by that would have never lived here in 1994- Of course AIMCO did not own them then either - I have visited other AImco properties such as Wes lake and Brookwood and they are disgusting and in a few years or less Lake Castleton will be the same- I cant believe how bad it is here now@!!@

They take great care of this property. I managed property in Florida for over ten years and won awards so I know what I am talking about in reference to this complaint. Go watch your soap operas and leaves these people alone

SOUNDS LIKE AN AIMCO EMPLOYEE- IN FACT IT IS ONE- I THINK IT IS THAT MAINTENANCE GUY THAT CAME TO MY HOUSE AND MESSED MY DOOR UP RECENTLY!!! LOOK HE EVEN SAID "LEAVES" - LOOK MORON YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID LEAVE- YEP YOU'RE PART OF THE AIMCO CREW!!!LOL NO THEY DONT TAKE CARE OF THE PROPERTY - WERE U HERE IN 1994 TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE HELL NO- SO GO YOU GO WATCH YOUR SOAP OPERAS OR HOW ABOUT TAKING SOME GRAMMAR CLASSES!!! Actually shutterbug67 is NOT an employee of aimco so move forward. Every apartment community or housing divison is going to have issues but its all about how the issues are being handled. If you have watched the news you will see that crime is happening everywhere, regardless of where you live or if your live in an apartment or a house. Unfortunately certain people DO NOT care about anyone expect for themselve and that's why they do stupid things, which is sad. If you would talk to any officer who works in the castleton area, you will find that not only has Lake Castleton had some issues but several other apartment communities and businesses in castleton have had the same things happening. I only say this bc I have spoken with a couple of officers who work the castleton area. Now in regards to you saying that "anyone" can live here, in all actuality it is NOT as easy to live here as it was years ago. I can say this because I used to be a previous resident and have moved back an it has changed for the better. With this being such a large community, the office and maintenance staff do a good job maintaining this community. I've been here going on three years and i love my home. So regardsless of where you go you will always have issues but atleast the office is taking necessary procautions and steps to make sure these issues are being addresssed and taken care of. ---A happy resident!

I lived here all through college and, in my opinion, the property is managed pretty poorly. They do absolutely nothing to address issues with inconsiderate and loud neighbors. My upstairs neighbors had a POLICE RAID in their apartment (with plain clothes police officers and big german shepherds) and the complex allowed them to stay. Some management. Give me a break, please.
