Great, but expensive

Lake Clearwater has some of the nicest quality apartments that I've seen in this area of town. The buildings are fairly new (built in 2000, I think), so everything is in good condition. The grounds are nicely kept. Apartments facing the lake have a beautiful view.
The office staff was always helpful and nice. My neighbors were OK, but there isn't really a friendly community feel to the place. Some neighbors were really loud at times, and the management didn't seem to do anything about it. Parking spaces are limited because of the small size of this place. The location is close to everything and right next to the mall, but this makes traffic a little heavy coming out of the complex.
The biggest downside of Lake Clearwater is the price. I paid $829 a month for a 1bed/1bath plus $15 a month pet fee (and that was the sale price for that model!). There were a lot of fees and deposits when I moved in. Out of the $350 refundable portion of the security and pet deposits, I got back $235. The rest was kept for carpet stain removal, which I thought should have been covered by the $150 non-refundable pet fee I paid at move-in time.
Overall, I think Lake Clearwater is a nice place to live if you're willing to pay for quality apartments.
