Reading these reviews really make you realize what a bad place this is. My biggest complaint however is the duck droppings everywhere, no matter if you live by the pond or not. They are in the grass, they are on the sidewalks, parking lots etc. Once the ducks were on my 2nd floor balcony and messed all over it. The sidewalks around my apt were frequently flooded and muddy for days after a rain. We had some serious trouble getting maintenance out. The very cheap prices attract an unpleasant group sometimes. My neighbor kept asking me if I smoked pot and offering me some. Someone did break into my car once, fortunately I had my door unlocked and they just emptied my glove box onto my floor boards without breaking any windows. The only problem I had in the apt was my bathroom door started falling apt, paint on the ceiling started peeling off. There was a huge gap under my front door, which caused my electric bill to run about $70-80 a month for a 1 BR, the dishwasher was not very good, and the garbage disposal quit working. Once my stove shorted out and started sparking. Once I lived out my 1 year lease they raised the price on me, which is understandable. I knew I would be moving shortly so I started paying month to month rent which they charged me an extra $100 a month. Then when I moved, they required a 60 day notice, even though I was paying month to month. This is the bottom line, if you can afford to pay 100 bucks extra a month to live somewhere else, do yourself a favor and do it. If you are hurting for money and a place to live, you won't find a better bargain as far as monthly prices go.
