We have lived at Lake Piedmont for years and do not understand where people are getting their information. I would love to know where and when the murder took place!! I watch the news every day, and not one time have I seen a murder that has happened here at Lake Piedmont. As all of us know, if it did, it would be all over the news!! Crime, again, do you watch the news' Well it is all over the place and on the news and in the newspapers daily!! I watch who I associate with!! Look over my shoulder when I am shopping, in a parking garage, and even at stop lights. Come on people, watch the news or pick up a newspaper and then tell me that crime only happens at Lake Piedmont Apartments. I am glad to see police drive through on their routine checks and I pay my rent on time so I do not have to get my wages garnished by apartments or anyone else who I owe money!! The staff in the office work hard along with the maintenance and grounds men, and when I call in my work orders, I understand this is a big apartment complex and they have many people to take care of. And since when can they control water main breaks or electric going off because there is an accident down on Keystone that knocked out power, or pick up trash 24 hrs a day that people throw out of their cars or too lazy to walk to the dumpster' If you break a window because your friend locked you out, then it is your responsibility to pay for it. Buy a home and do these things and see who pays for it, or if the water main breaks down the road, if you get a notice that the water is going to be shut off.

The only thing I can say, We love living here, we enjoy the lake, ducks and geese. It is living in the city with a country feel. Yes, there are times I wish it would not rain so much, or the animals would do their business somewhere else, but the people who have dogs, who do not pick up after them, they are the uneducated, dirty people who do not deserve to have an animal or live here. Yes, the staff are busy, and I am sure overwhelmed at times with all of those who sign a lease and have no idea what they are signing when it comes to rules, and sorry, it is a contract just like when you get a loan for a car, house, or anything else you buy. I rate this complex one of the highest in Indianapolis and will live here as long as I can.

In response to the " Does anyone watch the news" comment. You are obviously staff or management of the complex trying to cover things up. This place is horrible and you know it! Don't mislead people to this hellhole!!! i have never met one tenant who enjoyed Lake Piedmont. If they stayed it was becuase of convience for drugs or the wage of the rent. Nothing else!

He was killed by someone he brought into his home; it was not a random killing; Lake Piedmont may not be the best but it is certainly not the worst. This well written article makes some very valid points about the residents who do not respect their community or their neighbors. I have worked in the apartment business in the past and for those of you who have not, you have NO IDEA!

What I want to know is why people take th etime to post review on here? Have you brought any of this up to management? Have you put your concerns in writing? Have you asked management how can you be of any help? Do you send letters of praise when they do anything well? I agre with the writer of this review. What would you do if it was your own home. Maybe if they raised the rent than they could afford whatever it is your spoiled self is used to. If you used to work for the apartments for 3 weeks, than you are most likely bitter because you got fired. An if you quit after only three weeks it was most likely because you could not handle residents that were like yourself.

Nope. I quit with the quickness. My first weekend there I dealt with 30 cars that were spray painted in black paint just for the heck of it. And people like myself? LOL! That wasn't the problem; the people were completely opposite of myself. Believe me, while working there I wrote up some of the same work orders for the same people 4-5 times. I listened to more complaints than I care to remember. When brought to management who is overwhelmed they feel upon deaf ears. The straw that broke the camels back was a Hispanic guy who was hanging around the office. He came up to me while leaving on my last weekend and said how pretty I was. He then told me that I shouldn't be around here after dark, because bad things happen to girls around here after dark. When I asked what, he just grinned. Totally creepy...

If you ask me V-Dale either works for Lake Piedmont or has someone close to him that does. The crime there is extreemly bad they do not do a proper background check like they should. I have worked apartment maintenance for 13 years now and have never seen an apartment complex like this. I have worked anywhere from eagle creek to beech grovbe i have seen good and have seen bad. i know what goes on in apartment complexes. I lived in Lake Piedmont when they had just changed names. It was the same thing then as now. I have friends that liver in there and they tell me the stuff that goes on in there. It is rediculous the things that i hear from there. Go to the police station you will be able to get a full report of what goes on there and how many runs they make. Make sure you know what you are doing before you get into the lease. Like any other apartmentsd they will get there money one way or the other.

Lake Piedmont was my first place when I turned 18. I lived there for 3 years and never had any problems. Iam now a Property Manager for Section 8 Housing and always refer people there.
