Ok, so I have to admit that when we first visited this community, things seemed perfect. Little did I know that eventually my opinion would completely change. My husband and I were expecting our first child and wanted to find the perfect new place to make a home for her. We looked at many places and finally decided that this would be it. The staff, in the beginning, seemed really nice and professional. I wonder if they're going to receive an award for great acting....hmmmm. Anyway, we had an issue in the very beginning where one of our mini-blinds was broken, the staff responded and fixed it the very same day. That was really great. Then, as time went by, our lease was about to expire, so we contacted the leasing office to see how much our rent would be if we decided to stay another year, it jumped from $730 all the way up to $885. A $55 monthly increase for the regular fee, as well as we had to give up our $100/month special. That seemed pretty ridiculous to us. We found a new apartment, and they had to run a reference check on us, and once the lakes of windsor learned that we were moving, coincidentally, they called us that very same day to offer us the same rate as we had been paying all along. We decided to move, because we were still going to get a better rate at the new (much nicer, better, cleaner) community. I recently called to report another repair that needed to be taken care of, and I am still waiting for a response. It has been nearly 2 months now since I originally reported it. I had to suffer an injury because of the unsafe conditions. Not to mention, there are many other safety issues that the lakes of windsor overlooks, such as no fire extinguishers in the unit, and allowing us to have a charcoal grill. When we asked the assistant manager at the time if it would be ok to have one, she replied "I didn't see anything" Totally illegal. To make this long story short, please take it from 2 very unhappy tenants, look around and really be careful of what you get locked into. Things aren't always as good as they seem. We are anxiously awaiting the day in which we move!!!!

Isn't it amazing how when people don't get there way or what they want they always want to blame management! Did these people every call to discuss their increase when they got their renewal information. I've lived here for 3 yrs and I've always found management very easy to talk to and willing to fix anything in a prompt manner. Sounds to me as if you're pretty unreasonable... the new place you moved into better beware! Lakes of Windsor is a great place to live, don't believe someone who sounds like they were trouble makers to begin with lead you to believe any differently.

I personally know the person who wrote the original review and they are in no way trouble makers. Management is being blamed because management is at fault. I'm happy you, happyrenter895, have had a good experience there but some of the residents just aren't as lucky as you have been. The new community that they have moved into is very happy to have them there and will continue to treat them as a respected resident not someone to be badmouthed.

Sounds to me, as someone who doesn't even live here that the management is just sneaky enough to be placing some very unprofessional comments on these reviews. That made my decision to not even bother looking at this hole.
