I moved in in december. my apartment is very nice. The staff is very responsive with regards to maintenance but there are problems here.
They allow drinking alcohol in the "athletic club" and there has been continuous problems with vandalism. People have found their cars on cinder blocks because of thieves stealing peoples wheels. There have been break-ins in my building. And when I wanted a garage, I found out it was a shared garage. They didnt tell this to me upfront. Too many bad residents here. Many college students calling over there friends too come over and party in the "athletic club" area and drink beer in the hottub. there has been broken glass in the hottub area as well. broken benches in the sauna, broken pool cues, and sliced up ab bench.

I am planning on moving to Lakeshore and after reading this I am really concerned about the safety and theft. Have car related thefts often happened? Do the residents feel safe? Please help me out!

Dont listen to the poster. Just visit the area and u tell me if u feel safe. Look at and talk to the residents. Its a very safe/clean area. I know all my neighbors...all who are young professionals. I posted the last post and stand buy it. I have yet to hear of any breakins. They have a security door anyways to stop that stuff. What else can u ask? As for the athletic club...I think its exremely nice. Ask to look at it if u visit it and u will find the post is FOS. Even has a sauna. I love these apts.

I agree with jman. The apartments are wonderful! I've never had any problems with feeling unsafe. You have to have a key to get into the apartment building, and then another key to get into your actual apartment. The area where these apartments are located is also a very nice area! I've never seen any cars on cinder blocks, and when I was looking into getting a garage, the staff was very up-front about telling me they were shared. Granted, there have been a couple of nights where I've heard parties go on late into the night, but that's to be expected when you live in an apartment complex. They were never so loud that they kept me awake. Overall, it's a great community to live in. I used to live in a community on the east side of Indy. Maybe the person that wrote this review should live there for awhile, hear gunshots every night, and see how much safer this community really is.
