Lived there for 2 years. Excellent place to live. Great staff. Fun atmosphere

I've read some of the older comments on here about poor management. Either management must have changed since then or these were extremely isolated incidents. Anyone reading those 'bad' comments, don't be discouraged. In the 2 1/2 years I was at Lakeshore, the staff could not have been more friendly & accommodating. I only had a few problems (washer stopped working / shower had a leak, etc) and each time the issue was resolved within 2 days, which was pretty amazing. Not only that, but they followed up to make sure everything was taken care of and that I was satisfied. I got to know quite a few other residents at Lakeshore in my time there -- and we all thought the same thing....the staff is awesome! Just really friendly people...
That being said, the actual apartments are great too. The location is perfect if you plan on living on the northside. The Marsh supermarket is right across the street, 2 malls within 5 minutes and you can be downtown within 20 -25 minutes. Truly right in the middle of everything. Besides the location, the people I encountered were nice for the most part too. There are always a few wierdos anywhere you go - but 90% of the people I met were friendly, if not outgoing.
Also....amenities are great. If you have a dog, you have to check out lakeshore. Very dog friendly .... there's even a dog park. Really convenient. They've got two large pools & a workout facility too. Just a word of advice though, if you plan on laying by the main pool on the weekend....get out there early or you may not be able to find a good spot! The pools are definitely really popular.
Overall, Lakeshore is no doubt one of the more quality apartment complexes NE indy. If you are looking for something that has a classy feel but not as expensive as the nearby AMLIS or Riverbend, then Lakeshore is the place for you. At least go visit...you'll see what I mean.
