We lived here for 1 year and loved it. We had to move though because it was getting a little too pricey. The apartments were nice and in good shape, decent sized rooms and plenty of closet space. The area is nice. There are some awesome running/biking trails behind the complex along white river and a nice fitness room and basketball court. They are very pet friendly and have dog stations all thoughout the complex. The people were nice, maintanence people were nice. They kept the grounds very clean (they pick up trash every morning).
Some minor problems though- Do not live here if you do not like a younger crowd. I would say 85% of people there are college/post college age. We didnt have a problem with it cause we are that age. But in the summer there seemed to be a lot of parties by the pool, lots of beer cans laying around that people did not pick up. But overall everyone seemed cool. Parking can be a hassle. It was hard on occasion to get a parking spot if we came home late. they have reserved spots though if you want to pay the extra price.
We never felt unsafe there. I know there was an incident just recently that happened, but we never saw any cars vandalized or heard about any break ins. They have a policeman patrol at certain times and that is nice. It is in a nice area inbetween castleton mall and keystone at the crossing.
Overall, we had a great time at Lakeshore and experienced no problems.
