I live at Lakeshore apts. And the management and office people are not understanding and uncooperative. I know that Lakeshore just changed management and that is probably one of the worst things they could have done. Lakeshore does not care about its tenants. One girl was assaulted in the parking lot early in the morning and Lakeshore did nothing but put up some flyers explaining that this happens. They do not care if your car or your apt. is broken into as long as they get your rent. They only time Lakeshore cares about its tenants is when they sign their lease. After that they could care less if you do not feel safe in your community. This is probably because they do not have to live at Lakeshore Apts. My car was broken into and when I called Lakeshore they only thing they could do was give me an attitude and make excuses. I was not expecting for them to pay for the damages to my car but how about some compassion. In my opinion Lakeshore needs to stop spending enormous amounts of money on remodeling and concentrate on making their community safe. Some advice Lakeshore, how about getting a security guard, cameras or even more lights around the property. I moved to Lakeshore because it was trendy, nice and I FELT safe. Plus, the office people were very nice AT FIRST!! I hope Lakeshore reads this and does not role their eye s at the concerns many of their tenants have.

I've lived at Lakeshore for three years and yes there is occassional crime. I don't take my safety lightly. I am always alert. But there is crime everywhere. Have you seen all the car break ins in Fishers an Carmel? What would you expect Lakeshore to do after a assault? Call in the National Guard? At least they notified everyone.

YOU are responsible for your own safety. The entire world is corrupt and this type of crime that you describe can happen anywhere whether you are a renter or a home owner. No one can guarantee your safety so take responsibility and do something about it instead of complaining - start a crime watch group, get neighbors to pay attention and report unsafe activity to the proper authorities. Unless you live in a bubble, crime is everywhere - deal with it.

I work at another property and security cameras and lights do not stop some problems. Crime does happen everywhere, I recommend that you do not make yourself an easy target.
