We lived at Lake Nora for 1 year. That was Waaaay too long. We also heard the gunshots. We heard the people outside the night someone was shouting that they were going to get a gun. Our deck was also rotted and had holes in it. We also were out at the "lake" sitting on the bench the night before someone was found floating in it. We also experienced the loud noise at all hours. Fire trucks and emergency units were in the complex every other night. Our apartment was the pits. We even had tiles falling off the wall of the bathroom.

The thing that sent us away for good was the guy urinating in the main laundry room. We complained to the office often and they did NOTHING. After we found a new apartment, it took several nasty calls from myself to get them to fax back the necessary paperwork. Note: I was NEVER late on my rent. Ever.

We often saw people digging in the trash at the dumpsters. During the summer there were loads of drunk people outside throwing bottles around.

I think a support group is a super idea. We went through hell there.

The problems are a direct result of the management's inability to manage their own property. If someone gets hurt, I'd imagine that channel 6 would be interested if nothing else. Tenants do have rights under Indiana state law.
