Bad decision

First of all, I moved to Indianapolis from Bloomington and sub-leased an apartment at Lakeside Village in July. Now, in February, I am looking for another apartment and come to find out, the office never switch my name over on the lease. DUH!
Someone had a copy of our apartment key and broke in. It was lucky that I had come home sick and my dog (German Shepherd) was out and chased the person off. I'm not saying it was the maintenence staff, but who else would have a key to my apartment' Plus, the office told me there was no planned work being done on my apartment that day.
The parking is cramped. The parking lot is full of potholes. They have attempted to fix them, but only made it worse. The appliances are outdated. Our dishwasher doesn't work and our hot water heater "whistles" when it runs.
The office staff is unsympathetic. When someone entered my apartment with a copy of my key, they didn't care and didn't have a solution, but they charged me $30 for a new lock. Once they found out I was moving, they became very rude with me over the phone and very short with me in person.
They allow animals, but no one picks up after their pets outside. The grass is dying and it is very "ghetto" looking.
With the amount I am spending on rent, I could live in a much nicer neighborhood.
I do not recommend living here, but if they would clean it up a little bit, it would be much nicer. You have to spend money to make money, but they obliously do not care.
