I recently moved to Lakewood LOdge from an Amli apartment community. I have read some of the previous reviews on this site and I can honestly tell you that crime is everywhere. While living at a very nice Amli apartment my car was broken into four times. I have not had any occurances here so far. In the time that I have lived here I have heard many residents complain about the safety and security. When I moved in the office staff were trying to get residents to take a part to increase the safety of the apartment community. I went to the "Neighborhood Watch" meeting and there was only about 10 residents that showed up that night. If everyone says that they are so unhappy and want something to be done about the safety - that was your chance. It is a method that has proven to reduce crime levels in apartment communities. There was even a second chance for participation - when they sent out a follow-up letter to all residents to give them another chance to volunteer. THey only needed about 40 people to start the program and ended up with about 17 volunteers. So, I just think that you shouldn't complain unless you are willing to do something about it. I have been very happy with my experience here so far. My service requests are completed on time, and the office staff is very kind.
