I really enjoyed my year at Lakewood Lodge and have already recommended it to several friends. If I ever move back to Indianapolis, I will probably look here first.
As mentioned in a previous review, it is an older complex which needs to be considered, but I think this adds to the charm. I lived in a one bedroom and I liked the layout (and space) better than any other place I looked. The rent was reasonable, especially since heat was included in the cost (the only other bills are electric and phone). The trees provide lots of great shade and scenery and it was nice being able to walk to the store or to grab some lunch and save on gas.
All of my maintenance requests were taken care of by the next day. My neighbors were friendly and I felt very safe there. There were also extras that I wish I had taken more advantage of - a pool (which opened at the end of May), a tennis court, a new playground, and an excercise room.
In all, I had a very positive experience.
