I've lived at Lakewood Lodge for many years, since '96, and it's never been a great place to live, but it's gotten FAR worse in the past few years.

Example: My air conditioning gave out in the spring of 2005. I called them for maintenance, they said they'd be out to fix it. That was over a year ago. My apartment is 96 degrees in the summer and they still claim there's no problem.

The heat is literally killing me and my pets. They will never fix it, nor do they do any maintenance. I am insane for living there.

the people who work there are nice but do not care about the tenants.

Unless you have literally no other choice, do not live there.

Edited to add: Four days after writing this review, they are claiming that they will fix my air "soon." I have health problems and was told by my doctor that that place is very hazardous to my health. When a friend called Lakewood Lodge and told her that, they just hung up on her.

The people who manage this place should be sentenced to live there. At least prisons have air conditioning.

I hate Lakewood Lodge with the passion of a thousand burning suns.
