Some residents have lived here for 10 years or more.
You'd think that those who have would develop roots here; get to know neighbors, treat the place with respect, have a working relationship with the staff.
But many don't. There could be a number of reasons for the existance of these pariahs. Some may be welfare bums, too stupid to know the benefits that come with owning their own realestate. Others may be derelicts who will do anything to avoid having to learn how to fix sinks and air-conditioners themselves and prefer for someone else to take care of their contemptible needs... and throw a tantrum every time they mess their diapers.
And I'm sure some of these deadbeats understand the drag their presence can have on any property... so they rent.
Because they will never have to worry themselves with selling the property to another tenant, they allow their property to become health hazards. These people are actually lower than trailer trash. At least trailer trash own their own trailer.
You can spot these people at any rental property. They don't take care of the place, their car or even themselves. They become obese chain-smoking alcoholics and then blame "Big Health" for not making all their symptoms vanish free of charge.
Luckily, this complex has only a few of these folks.
Ask to meet your neighbor BEFORE you move in.
