I have lived at Lakewood Lodge for over 12 years and realize it is time to move. It was nice in the beginning but now it is turning into mismanaged piece of crap. I have been trying to get new carpet for six years to no avail,if you call maintenance they never come,if you call the courtesy patrol to report excess noise...they don't come. My bathroom is falling apart. my sink in the bathroom is held up by two metal poles and I have been complaining about that to no avail. The apartment downstairs under mine caught fire in april this year and they had to tear the apartment down to the studs and re-do if all over again. Three weeks ago a asian male move in and its been hell because he takes showers and baths all night long which keeps me awake.Almost every night he takes baths and showers from 9:30pm until 2 or 3 in the morning. Since the walls are paper thin, he wakes me up and keeps me up until 5 in the morning and then sometimes he has a machine going that hums and vibrates all night long. I complain to the mananger and her attitude is that he has a right to take a shower which I agree,but does he have the right to disturb my sleep constantly' He flooded the laundry room by overstuffing the machine and when told him this he took his quilt and left but didn't clean up the water which shorted out the dryer. Me and the neighbors complained about this to management but they haven't done a thing because they are charging him higher rent for the brand new apartment. They have no respect to the long term tenants there and this will be my last year which is up in June.According to sources, they have close to 200 vacancies out of 450.Long time people are moving out, they're tired and so am I. You do not want to move here. They will entice you with all the niceties but wait a couple of months and you'll see the read picture. It isn't worth it. You may ask why am I'm still here' because they know like I do that it is a convenient place to live with the stores and bus line right down the street.I have had it!!
