Do NOT be fooled...this is NOT a good place to live

Just to start, if you don't believe these posts are true, look up the other Edward Rose properties...even in other states, and you will see that LOTS of similar stories pop up for all their communities.
A few other Edward Rose properties in Indy:
Sundance at the Crossing
Polo Run
Bavarian Village
My Experience here:
I made the mistake of moving into Latitudes for convenience of location and because many of my friends were moving here. I lived in Sundance before and experienced their rude behavior and fees upon moving out that should be criminal. Latitudes has faired out no better I'm afraid. One of the staff...a man who manages facilities staff...YELLED at me to shut up and listen to him. They have told me that I am basically not allowed to use my patio because my downstairs neighbor winds up with "excessive" messes on his porch. If the wind blows dirt on his patio, he is upset by it. If there is a speck of birdseed, he has to go out and sweep it up. Talk about OCD. Despite our attempts (successful to all normal human beings) to make sure nothing was being spilled or knocked onto the porch below, we have now been told that we must remove these items off our porch or it will result in maintenance coming and removing them for us. Beyond that, they tell me that I need to learn to live in a community and that means dealing with the needs of my neighbors. This is of course non-sense, because in a community, people don't typically whine about a little dirt on the OUTSIDE patio. And I forgot to mention that said neighbors have random people coming in and out of their apartment at all hours of the night, very often slamming the doors at 3 and 4 in the morning....really being a "community" player there.
Beyond that, the trash facilities are a nightmare...usually the one trash bin on the premises is overflowing and smelly. You have to drive your trash to the clubhouse area if you live anywhere but the 2 closest buildings to it. The grounds are like a land mine of dog feces...no, seriously. Despite several dog poop recepticals, complete with bags, there is dog doo ALL over the grass...right next to the stations. And as a result there is a pest problem. We had bugs in our pantry all the time, despite cleaning it out, etc.
The walls and floors offer no noise insulation, so as a result, you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Which is as much a problem for your own behavior as it is for hearing your neighbors because if you weigh over 100 pounds, your downstairs neighbors are going to think you are stomping around all the time. And if your neighbors smoke, like some of ours did, it will seep into your apartment.
Half of the time, grounds maintenance is done on the fly, and you'll come home and no longer will have a sidewalk. Or worse, you'll get up in the morning and there will be an unknown guy standing on your balcony painting and looking in your window.
If you think I am exagerating or just bitter, I am not. This was truly how life was at these apartments. I have friends who had ok experiences at these apartments, but almost all of them were men. And even they had their complaints (many of which are on this list) about the place. Any review that says this place was perfect, is likely made by one of the office staff to boost their review rate. But don't be fooled by that.
Unfortunately, I don't have a better suggestion for you, but stay away from Latitudes and all Edward Rose properties if you can.
