After choosing an apartment at this nice-looking complex and having the agent answer all my questions, I handed over a check for the application fee. I came in the following day to sign the lease. However, what I was told and what the lease read were two different things. The agent said that he was mistaken, and he was sorry, but the company would not honor what he told me (as far as their move-out policy/60-day notice). And of course the application fee was non-refundable. Not only that, but the agent told me I didn't really "have" to declare my pet, so he was cheating his employer as well. Also, while this may sound petty, if you enjoy television this is not the place for you. It was not disclosed to me until after I paid the application fee, but cable and satellite are not permittable. (I called comcast, they cannot service it due to the complex's exclusive contract.) The complex supplies their own cable ONLY, with their own box. They do not offer DVR. Pay-per-view (UFC, anyone?) is not available. It is not HDTV compatible. And if you want to add premium channels, they remain on for the length of your lease - so you can upgrade, but you cannot downgrade. All said, this place should be avoided. This type of dishonesty - even before I sign a lease - is shameful. I lost my application fee, but I'm glad I am not living there.

Happened to me as well.. they lied about their painting/redecorating fee.. that part of the lease is very ambiguous and the staff each told us what they knew we wanted to hear to get us to sign, then billed us out the --- when we actually acted on the advice we were given. Granted, every single person that we worked with quit/got fired (including the property manager), so at lease end we had nobody on our side. I hope this place burns!
