How bad do you want to live close to school' & Downtown'

I've lived here for about 6 months (I'm complaing already....how sad). At first, like moving into any new apartment, I liked living here. But as time went on, I got a fast awakening to how bad these apts really are. ALOT OF BUGS! I've never lived in a apt where I encountered bugs on a weekly basis.
The staff doesn't seem to care about your problems....Make sure you document everything when you talk to them or else it's just your word against theirs, bad communication between staff members. But maintenance is friendly. The paint job sucks, paint started to chip off the day after I moved in. The electric and heating bill were exspensive b/c of lack of heat the apt could hold, strong draft coming threw the windows. ( Get some plastic to cover your windows in the winter)....Some things did begin to fall apart, like my microwave door, my bathroom towel handles, all of which I fixed on my own! At one point my front door wouldn't lock, that still remains a mystery how that happened, (I'm a single woman living alone, that wasn't cool at all) it took them two days after reporting the incident before they came to fix it...Parking isn't bad aslong as you get home before 6pm then it can be a hassle..My alarm system doesn't work, luckily I haven't had any problems safety wise thank God!...I am really thinging about transferring apts b/c I hate this one, next year I may pay more and live on campus b/c no one should be forced to live with these conditions b/c the staff doesn't want to take the responsibility to fix them....Whatever happened to customer service'
There are worst places you could live....like in a cardboard box, a homeless shelter, under a rock for instance. Yes it is close to campus and downtown but should basic wants and needs be sacrificed b/c of it' If you would love to wake up to huge blk water bugs, millipeds, and spiders on a daily basis, if you would love to pay high electricity bills b/c they wont install better windows or fix the ones you have, and if you would love to almost be forced to threaten legal action to the staff to get their attention then hey welcome home! This is the place for you!
