I have been here at lockefield for about six months now. and yes, like the person below i too have been taken aback by the number of problems in such a short period of time. my gf has lived here for almost a year before i moved in and i was really jealous of her place. and thus, i got one too. possibly the worst move ever. since i moved here, i have had to have my washer and dryer replaced, bathroom cabinet replaced, my apt. has flooded, and my blinds broke in the living room. all within six months. needless to say while others harp on the staff that is about the only thing i can praise. whether it is because i am an aggressive person or not they tend to get right on anything i ask for. albeit i threaten legal action occassionally (i am a lawyer now if you can't guess!)

As far as the parking goes, it sucks. And anyone who tells you otherwise is just plain lying. The staff recently issued apt. identifiers for everyone. you had to come into the office pick one up and hang it from your mirror. they then threatened to begin towing at the beginning of september. however, i have only seen ONE car towed the entire time and i continuously see IUPUI students park there illegally every day and night. but the worst part about it is when they issued these identifiers they gave each apt. no matter how many people lived there the same amount of holders. so for example, i knew people living in single apts. who got two or even THREE holders and simply gave them to friends who went to IUPUI!!!! what kind of staff doesn't even check to see how many identifiers they give out to you in spite of the number of people or lack thereof living in your place''' an idiotic one i tell you!!

the only other positive outside of the staff (if that is one) is the location. I went to school downtown and am now working there. it is a great convenience to be able to get to work in about five to seven minutes depending on traffic. there is something about that, that makes this almost bearable at times. and then i remember bearable to the extent that i don't mind my apt. being flooded with two inches of water!!!! hell to the no!!!!

Garden of Canal, Canal Square and Riley Towers are only a hop, skip and a jump away. if you are paying what you are to live here you can almost surely pay to live at one of these places. and the little hike in rent might be well worth it for your peace of mind!!!!! My gf would write something as well but she is even too pissed to put her thoughts into words.
